News by Levels

News by Levels is a free, independent English-reading website for learners who want to practise through current events. Each story has three English reading versions, so readers can choose simpler language or move to a more advanced version of the same news. Readers can click words for contextual meanings and use automatic paragraph translation in their chosen language. Selected stories include reviewed reading questions, answer explanations, printable student worksheets and separate teacher answer keys. Accounts can save learning progress across devices. The project adapts reporting from cited sources; it is not an original reporting newsroom. Its reading levels are not certified CEFR scores, and automatic translations can be inaccurate.
