Connect an AI assistant to Rocket's app catalogue
Use Rocket's public, read-only MCP endpoint to find apps and browse categories.
MCP endpoint
Use https://tryrocket.ai/mcp as the remote HTTP MCP server URL. No Rocket account or API key is required. This server only returns public catalogue information and cannot change an app or account.
Available tools
- search_apps: Search by a required query, optional category and limit (1–10).
- get_app: Get an app by Rocket slug or ID, including its public developer, review summary and owner-approved verified metrics.
- browse_categories: List public categories, URLs and app counts.
- get_trending_apps: Browse Rocket's Rising results, optionally by category, with a limit of 1–10.
App profile URLs include utm_source=rocket_mcp so visits from this integration can be identified. Private verification values stay private.
Example requests
In a compatible assistant, ask “Search Rocket for tools to manage customer feedback” or “Show Rising productivity apps on Rocket.” For a direct protocol check, send a JSON-RPC initialize request over HTTP POST with Accept: application/json, text/event-stream and Content-Type: application/json, then call tools/list and tools/call. For example: {"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/call","params":{"name":"search_apps","arguments":{"query":"analytics","limit":5}}.
Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another client
In Claude, open Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector, name it Rocket, enter the endpoint above, and select No sign in if prompted. Workspace administrators may need to add the connector first. See Claude's current connector guide.
In ChatGPT workspaces that support custom remote MCP servers, open Plugins → Add custom MCP server, enter the same HTTPS URL, and choose no authentication. Availability and workspace permissions vary; see ChatGPT's current setup guide.
For other remote MCP clients, add the same URL as a Streamable HTTP server. Check your client's support for remote, unauthenticated MCP servers.
